Reading Rhythms is collaborating with us and Cafe Nido in Silver Lake, CA, for a reading party! Time to get lost in your book with ambient music, coffee/tea, and special readings from local praised authors Gabrielle Korn (The Shutouts) and Allie Rowbottom (Aesthetica). Reservation includes complimentary tea, with the add-on option of an espresso-based drink at checkout.
Feel free to bring your own book, shop from Sunny’s Bookshop pop-up at discounted prices, or Cafe Nido’s book selection.

ABOUT GABRIELLE KORN
Gabrielle Korn is the author of three books and the former editor-in-chief of Nylon Media. Her debut novel, Yours for the Taking, was an Indie Next pick and a New York Times best book of December. Its sequel, The Shutouts, out December 3, 2024 from St. Martin's Press, has been called "another winner" by Publishers Weekly and "a perfect blend of sadness and hope" by Kirkus. Her writing has appeared across the internet since 2011, with bylines in McSweeney's, The Millions, Literary Hub, InStyle, Refinery29, Oprah Magazine, and more, as well as in the recent anthology Sluts, edited by Michelle Tea. Originally from New York, she now lives in LA with her wife where together they run the Pink Door Residency for artists and writers.
ABOUT ALLIE ROWBOTTOM
Allie Rowbottom is the author of the novel Aesthetica and the memoir Jell-O Girls. Her next novel Lovers XXX is forthcoming in June of 2026. Her essays and short fiction can be found in Vanity Fair, Elle, The New York Times, Alta and elsewhere. She holds a PhD in literature and creative writing from the University of Houston and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts and lives in Los Angeles.
